Frank Ortner Jr., JD
is Chairman of the Ortner, O’Brien & Ortner
Advisory Group, Inc. A graduate of St. Joseph’s
University, Mr. Ortner earned his Juris Doctor (JD)
from Villanova Law School. He is a former director of
pension and estate planning for a major financial services
company. He has written articles for local area publications
and has been interviewed on local radio and television
stations on the subject of estate planning. He is a
member of the Chester County Bar Association and the
Financial Planning Association.
Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors
of the Malvern Business and Professional Association.
He also serves as President of the Malvern Park and
Civic Association and is a former member of the Malvern
Borough Council.
Mr. Ortner has a law practice concentrating on estate
planning for individuals
and families. |

John O’Brien,
CFP®
is President of the Ortner, O’Brien & Ortner
Advisory Group, Inc. Mr. O’Brien earned the Certified
Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) at the University
of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business Executive
Program. He has been a featured speaker of investment
topics to fellow financial planning professionals including
the IAFP and ICFP.
He was a former President of the Philadelphia Tri-State
Financial Planning Association (FPA). Mr. O’Brien
has written articles for local area newspapers and made
appearances on CNN and Fox News. He has also produced
a series of financial planning topics for public television
station WHYY-TV.
In 2002, he was awarded the Diamond Award for distinguished
service to his profession by the regional chapter of
the Financial Planning Association. |

Frank Ortner III,
CPA, PFS is Vice President of the Ortner, O’Brien
& Ortner Advisory Group, Inc. and is the Chief Planner
with the firm. A graduate of Villanova University, he
spent the early part of his career in a public accounting
firm specializing in small business and personal income
taxes.
Working as a financial and tax adviser, Mr. Ortner
attained the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation
from the AICPA, a designation available only to CPAs
who demonstrate a complete knowledge and understanding
of all areas of
financial planning.

Cindy
Diccianni RN, CSA, CLTC, is a Financial Advisor with
Ortner, O'Brien & Ortner Advisory Group Inc. Cindy
began in the financial advising field several years
ago after a rewarding career as a Registered Operating
Room Nurse. She is certified in long-term care and works
diligently with underwriters to develop a customize
policy for her clients and their individual needs. She
is currently working toward completing her Certified
Financial Planning (CFP®) designation.
Cindy's expertise lies in analyzing and coordinating
personal long-term care, life and health insurance for
clients. Also, as a financial advisor, she has successfully
assisted many clients stay the course with their portfolios
in both up and down markets.
Cindy is a contributing writer for Advance Magazines
and Personal Excellence, with her articles appearing
in over 40 publications nationwide. She is actively
involved in giving seminars on financial issues at local
schools, associations, and professional organizations. |

Mr. Helstowski,
Vice President for Ortner, O’Brien & Ortner,
is an advisor responsible for client relationship management.
Bill brings to OO&O several years experience in
investment consulting, as he was most recently VP and
COO for a local investment management firm. In addition,
Bill has had executive management positions at several
private and public companies located in the greater
Philadelphia and Boston regions. He received his Bachelor’s
and Master’s degree from the University of Vermont,
and holds his Series 65 Securities license and PA Insurance
license. Bill lives in Chadds Ford, PA with his wife
Lucy and is an avid golfer and musician. They have one
daughter who is currently a law student in Florida.
Bill has been active with "Business Leaders of
Wayne, PA”; Toastmasters of Chester County; and
is involved in local service programs.

Recent
Research
Michael S. Pagano is an Associate Professor of Finance
at Villanova University. Professor Pagano has conducted
several empirical analyses related to various issues
in market microstructure, financial institution management,
risk management, international finance, cost of capital
estimation, and interest rate determination. He has
published in numerous finance journals such as the Journal
of Financial Economics, Journal of Banking
and Finance, Journal of International Money
and Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management,
and the Financial Analysts Journal. Professor
Pagano serves on the editorial boards of two academic
journals, the International Journal of Managerial
Finance and the Review of Pacific Basin Financial
Markets and Policies. Professor Pagano has also
been a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Costa
Rica, a Visiting Professor at the University of Otago
in New Zealand, and has received awards for both teaching
excellence and academic scholarship.
Business, Consulting, and Service Experience
Prior to earning his doctorate and joining the Villanova
University faculty, Professor Pagano spent over 10 years
in the financial services industry. He holds the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and has experience
both in commercial lending activities at Citibank and
in investment valuation analysis at a financial consulting
firm, International Capital Markets Corp., as well as
Reuters PLC. At Villanova University, he has participated
in numerous college and university initiatives such
as launching the Executive MBA program, the M.S. in
Finance program, the Mid-Atlantic Research Conference
in Finance (MARC), the Institute for Research in Advanced
Financial Technology, and the award-winning Applied
Finance Lab. In addition to his duties at Villanova
University, Professor Pagano serves as a member of FINRA’s
Market Regulation Committee and has been a consultant
to several companies including Citibank, PaineWebber,
Fidelity Investments, GTE Investments, Philadelphia
Suburban Corp., Aqua America, and Bank Julius Baer.
Professor Pagano is a commentator on financial institutions
and current market structure issues and has been frequently
quoted in various media sources such as the Wall
Street Journal, New York Times, Financial
Times, Associated Press, CNBC,
Bloomberg TV, PBS’s Nightly Business
Report, Bloomberg Radio, CNN Radio,
and National Public Radio.
